New York, NY – February 19, 2008 – Nathan Walters may be new to some of the
Christian music world but most will remember him as one of five in the multi-platinum boy group Plus One. While riding on the boy
band trend Walters was able to open for the likes of Jessica Simpson, Collective Soul, performed on Nickelodeon’s Slime Time to
Daytime soap Days of Our Lives. After several changes both in members and stylistically, the band dissembled in 2004 and the
members went on and did their own ventures.
Walters took time off and started writing with fellow musicians and began to really hone on his own musical chops. His skill of putting together a pop love song has led the march stylistically for his upcoming solo record. During the time of being in the studio Nathan has had the opportunity of getting the attention from industry leaders both in the States as well as across the pond in the United Kingdom. Walters has landed on some of the blog favorites such as Arjanwrites.com, Electro.com, and Pinkisthenewblog.com. Electro being one of the top UK bloggers has named Walters one of his TOP 2007 artists of the Year along the side of hit-makers like: Robyn, Darren Hayes, Britney Spears, Hilary Duff, Dangerous Muse and others. Walters has gained some organic applause from UK music industry leaders and is being approached with some interesting opportunities with collaborations to remixes to touring. This organic thunder struck the notice of multi-Platinum artist Darren Hayes formerly of Savage Garden. With one listen to Nathan’s music Hayes was drawn to approach Walters to open for his US tour. Walters gladly accepted and played to a sold out tour across the US. The amount of fan acceptance Walters received was astounding and showed some loyal fan base in the top markets such as New York City and Philadelphia.
As the recording process comes to an end, Walters US and UK management team will be taking tracks to some of the top remixers to begin working into the UK market. Nathan will also be performing at this year’s NRB’s Monday Madness as well as performing an intimate performance of his single “FALL” which is currently being worked at CHR formats and his new album will be releasing later this year.
